The purpose of the CPTC Landside Modernization project is to upgrade and modernize the existing Domestic Terminals to a new, fresh look and feel similar to HJAIA International Terminal.
The project scope includes much needed exterior and interior renovations to the existing domestic facilities that, once completed, will unify both Terminals and enhance the customer experience and service throughout the airport complex. Perhaps one of the most unique features included in modernizing the terminals is the Curbside Canopy, (a free‐span structure that will provide shelter for loading and unloading passengers).
Additionally, the project will follow the HJAIA sustainable plan initiatives and best sustainability practices in order to provide a positive long-term payback for the airport.
Project scope include, but are not limited to, the following:
- - North/South Curbside Canopy
- - Vestibule Renovation
- - Upper & Lower Terminal Façade Upgrades
- - North & South Lower Level Tunnels
- - Security Screening Checkpoints
- - Composure Areas
- - Terminal Lobby Ceilings
- - North Ticketing/Check-In Lobby
- - Atrium
